It is well worth the effort to visit the semi-ruined Teghenyats Monastery, about 2km north of Buzhakan Village on the slopes of a mountain in the Teghenis Mountain range.
The monastery complex consists of the Katoghike church from the 12th century, a gavit from the early 13th century, a book depository or Matenadaran, a seminary scriptorium, a refectory, and a smaller church.
