Located north of the town of Urtsadzor (valley of thyme) on the edge of Khosrov Forest State Reserve you will find Tapi Berd or Gevorg Marzpetuni Castle which was built in the 10th century. It was surrounded by fortified walls with a rectangular layout, four corners of which were reinforced by rounded towers. This style of fortress is very rare in Armenia. Also here is a church which was built with white felsite stones dating back to the 13th century.
