The impressive St. Astvatsatsin Church of Yeghipatrush Village is a 15 minute drive off the main highway east of Mt. Aragats.
The large church was built between the 10th-13th centuries. It has a cruciform central plan with a simple cylindrical drum and conical dome. The 12th-13th century gavit has unique watchtowers on the northeast and southeast corners.
