In the Village of Karbi, only 3 minutes from the main highway that takes you around the eastern side of Mt. Aragats you will find the Basilica of St. Astvatsatsin from 1691. It is a triple-nave design. On the eastern side there is an unattached belfry which is dated to 1338, a little over 350 years older.
